2. Easy Spanish Phrase Book (New Edition): Over 700 Phrases for Everyday Use
Price On Amazon: $12.99
Reviews: 4.5/5 (5,300+)
“This is a very simple, handy resource for learning fundamental Spanish. I speak a couple of languages and have dabbled in several others, and I’m of the personal opinion that the way to go is learning phrases. Learn them in their complete, conjugated, grammatically accurate format (and, of course, learn how to correctly pronounce them). Do this, and you never again have to guess about that particular phrase – even if you don’t yet understand the grammatical reasons why the sentence/phrase got that way.” – Zack
Why You Need It: This audiobook is perfect for listening and repeating words and phrases spoken by a native Spanish speaker. This book doesn’t go into depth about grammar or ask questions but listening and speaking full sentences I feel is a great way to learn a language.
This book is also great if you are planning on going to a Spanish-speaking country and want to brush up on some essential words and phrases in Spanish.

Reviews: 4.5/5 (800+)
“This is a great way to augment your learning. I would suggest having a basic foundational knowledge of Spanish language structure: verb conjugations, past/present/future tenses, and basic vocabulary before jumping into these stories. I purchased the Audible version so I could train my ears to hear conversational Spanish. This is a great learning tool.”
“The stories are fun, a bit advanced and I don’t understand a lot of the conversations, but that gives me a reason to listen again and again. My favorite part is the vocabulary recap at the end of each story. And the following stories often re-use some of the previous vocabulary, thus making it easier to recall and reinforce into memory. 11. 2000 Most Common Spanish Words in Context: Get Fluent & Increase Your Spanish Vocabulary with 2000 Spanish Phrases
Price On Amazon: $21.99
Reviews: 4.3/5 (200+)
“I have the Audible copy of this book. If this is your first time learning Spanish, and don’t have knowledge of the grammar already, I recommend using that along with the hard copy together. That way you can read and hear it at the same time to help with pronunciation.”
“My review for the audible version: This was great for someone like myself, whose Spanish was a little rusty! The narrator has a strong, clear voice and the recording quality is great. The only thing I suggest if you’re having trouble following – turn the speed down a little. Perhaps pause after each phrase to give you time to repeat it – she goes fast! I certainly recommend this as a great learning tool.” – Rae
Why You Need It: This book is great if you have a basic understanding of Spanish and are ready to learn new vocabulary words. It will put the word in a sentence as well so that you can easily understand the meaning and the context of the word and when you would want to use it.
When learning a new language you want to make sure that you are using the vocabulary words that you are learning correctly. For example, if you were to say in English “nice car” you wouldn’t say “simpatico carro” in Spanish. That’s where context is helpful.
