For the French, going to a cafe is more than just going for a cup of coffee.

I had never thought of it that way before since as an American I like to basically inhale my food as fast as possible and get on my way.

But sitting at a cafe in France is more of an activity than just a coffee break.

How does Starbucks hold up with that “cafe culture” in mind?

But if you look at the opening of the first Starbucks in Strasbourg, the line was so insane that it made headlines!

Starbucks may not have made it into France quickly, but it is definitely popular in France.

As an American traveling and living in Europe, I love the cafe culture here as well as the coffee, however, I can’t help but miss my American Iced Coffee every once in a while.

Iced Coffee definitely isn’t something that’s easy to find in France or Europe in general, so heading to Starbucks to get your Iced Caramel Macchiato fix might be your only option!
